About DAL

Digital Audio Labs, Inc. (“DAL”) was founded in 1988 to design and market innovative products including new technologies for the sound recording industry.

Founders Al Pickard and Jeff Wilson, research and engineering veterans of the electronic test industry, originally set out to build a highly accurate PC interface card for data acquisition. The resultant product, dubbed the Desktop Recording Board, became much more popular with the radio broadcasting audio production industries. This prompted the pair to refocus and further target these industries with the CardD and CardDPlus, the first PC sound cards to feature "CD" quality and play-while-record, or full duplex capabilities.  By the mid nineties, Digital Audio Labs CardD line of products became the recognized standards for audio fidelity on the PC.

The company's flagship product is the CardDeluxe, a professional 24 bit, 96kHz soundcard for Windows PCs, which is used in a wide range of applications including mastering, PC recording, studio production, broadcasting, music editing, distributed home audio, audiophile quality CD/MP3/DVD playback, and vinyl restoration. DAL products carry a worldwide reputation for providing the highest sound quality available.

DAL is its customers’ advocate, consultant, and industry insider, promoting excellence in recording and audio production through the use of DAL products.
